Lake Taupo Fishing Report 6th September 2007

Shane French /

September 6, 2007

Hi All,

Well he is sick again, got a rather nasty virus this time and has been bed ridden since Monday.

As far as I can tell fishing has been a bit on the patchy side, there have been some good reports coming in from the Tongariro though, so this could be the river to be on. Although we did get some rain yesterday and I noticed that the TT level came up a bit. As far as the Hine and the Waitahanui go it sounds like the rips are the place to be. There have been very few fish spotted in the river so if you go into the “Nui” it may pay to go up to the top pools. Condition is still low, so I guess time will tell!!

John and Jill who are staying with us at the moment have hooked into a couple but the going was very tough in the lower to middle pools.

Hopefully Shane will be up and around soon, and he can get out on the water himself to see what is going on.

He will be in need of some fresh air by the time this is over!!!

Take care out there and please feel free to call in during the weekend and let me know how you are getting on.
