Lake Taupo Trout Fishing And Guiding Report For The 04th Of December 2010

Hey All,

I guided down the top of the Tongariro on Thursday for only my second time ever. The rafting company I used is Rafting New Zealand . These guys are awesome and if you are ever thinking about doing this trip either for fishing purposes or for just the fun of shooting grade three rapids, then I FULLY recommend this company. I have done a truck load of rafting in my years and this crowd are as safe as they come, great personalities too.

The fishing was damn good on Thursday. My God there are so many trout up there it is unbelievable, and to think that shit loads of them have already gone back out into the lake. Now I can understand why Ross gets all excited about this river. In the very first pool we set off from we hooked and landed an incredibly fresh trout that probably would have been knocked on the head had we not have just started. This fish must have moved to get up there and still be in the condition it was. Anyway as I say great day out! :)

I am away in Australia, (helping to raise their IQ) for the next week, starting from today. I have had the best November since I started guiding and January, February looks like they are going to be mad as well. All in all A holiday before things go mad will do me the world of good. Take care out there on the water and I will report back in after the 14th.

Regards Shane
