Hey all,

Plenty of trout in all the rivers at the moment. I have spoken to heaps of keen fisherman over the past week who have pulled trout from all the Taupo Rivers. Good to see.

sunset-dscf0001The Tongariro is fishing well at the moment, there was a report that even old “”Pine tree Ross”” had his limit the other day. Hell fishing must be easy!!!

The Tauranga taupo has fish throughout its length and has been fishing well for a few weeks now. The last rain that we had pushed the levels up again on the TT and sent a few more freshies through. Some reports of good sized trout from this river as well.

The Hine has fished consistently with the heavy rain we had, again some good trout have been taken. A big hello to Aussie Bob as well. Chris sends his love and his very warm welcome that you sent me put a smile on my dial.

Ralph the Waitahanui “”Slayer””, had me deliver to the smokers, a 7.5 pound Jack taken out of the upper pools of this, (by far) best river in the taupo region. Great trout dude, I have obviously showed you too many tricks!!! Even the butcher was impressed!!

dscf0005The Waitahanui has certainly had a good end to the season, and those Browns are just around the corner.

If you can get up here this weekend give it a go there are plenty of trout around. You will hook some spent ones but there are plenty of good fresh trout in there as well to take home.

It has been great catching up with readers of this web site now that I am working at Hunting and Fishing. Please if you are in the area drop by and say hello.

Take care out there

Regards Shane
