Lake Taupo Trout Fishing And Guiding Report For The 19th Of September 2010

Hey all,

The only river worth fishing as at today is the Waitahanui and even this is high and with colour. The strong on shore wind that they have down there has done two things. It has pushed a few fresh Trout up and 2) it has washed out the straight with the corresponding high lake level. From what I could tell yesterday when I took this photo, about two hundred meters of straight has been washed out!

The poor old TT hasn’t been fishable for a while now and all those pools will have to be re explored, (oh what a shame).

Apparently the Waiotaka was crossing the road this morning!!!!

Take care out there and keep your powder dry.

Regards Shane
