Hey All,

All the rivers are in great nick for the weekend fisherman.

I visited the Tongariro first thing this morning and did very well in all the water we fished. There are good numbers of Trout in the Tonagriro. Not all of these are good takable fish but there is certainly many of those lurking about. There are quite a few stories of 5 and 6 pound trout coming out on a regular basis. Champagne red dot glo bugs in size 12 doing the deed all day.

Still nothing on the Tauranga Taupo but there had to have been trout go through!

p82000051The Hinemaiaia once again has had some good trout go through. I hooked into a few big silver Hens just below the bridge this afternoon on my way home. Man the trout this season have had some strength to them and the Hinemaiaia can be very unforgiving when a trout screams off downstream.

No fish in the Waitahanui infact it has landmines strategically planted on its banks!!

I have a full on day tomorrow and so will not report in until Saturday night, (before I hit the Rip!) So if you are interested in what is going on and to find out how the””Tongariro Muffins” are FEARing keep posted.
