Hey All

Second day with Seppo saw us on a river that some of you will recognize from these pics. The section we went into is renowned for being VERY tough going but the promise of trophy trout is always a draw card. I had a plan in mind and so we set off at a good pace to get to our selected water. The foot prints were many to start with but as the going got tougher they dwindled, (you big pussies). At this stage we started to pick up regular Trout with the average weight being about 4.5 pounds. No where near the size I wanted but man they had some fight in them. There was a good mixture of browns and Rainbows as well. Seppo dropped the Mother of all rainbows in a fast run but from the scales left on the hook it was foul hooked as well. This thing was huge and although I didn’t get a good look at it, the big flash of silver and the bent hook put it in the” Large range”. The scales it left on the hook were like Snapper scales!!!  The rocks on this river are notorious for being shitty and man did they live up to their reputation today, you can see the algae in the pics. There were lots of man cuddles as we crossed the river today but that is all good as we NEVER had a fall and got back to the car without incidence.
