Back to the fishing for a while.
We have had heaps of rain like most of New Zealand and because of that a few of the rivers are un fishable. The Waitahanui and Hinemaiaia are both fishable at the moment and I would say the others will be fishable by tomorrow. The Tauranga Taupo is still high as I write, flowing at .85 but it is dropping fast. We are due more rain and showers by the end of the week with wind in the forecast too.
Angling pressure was high around the lake this morning. The Rips are getting a flogging as well. All the trout I am seeing are in excellent shape, DOC will be well pleased there.
