I was waiting for some cold Southerly weather to show up before I made another post. I could have reported that all the rips have been fishing well but then they might have gotten a flogging and I would have been held accountable. If the rivers are empty and the weather is fine and calm have a go in the rips, they might surprise you.
So now that we have had some rain, (and it was heavy too) the rivers should have received a good run of fish that have been holding off the mouths for the past few weeks. I have has some good reports from both the Waitahanui and Hinemaiaia this weekend.
Hopefully I will be out and about this week as work is a bit slow and I should be able to finish early, so watch this space
