Lake Taupo Trout Fishing Report For The 10th Of September 2009

Shane French /

September 10, 2009

Hey all,

Sorry about the lack of reports over this week, I got called away to Auckland to help a good friend out and so have not been around.

I have a few friends who are fishing the Waitahanui at the moment. Some very good trout have moved through here over the past week. A solid 8 pound Jack was taken from the Groin early in the week!

As we have been saying all season when the conditions are right for the running trout then they have been in the systems. The Hinemaiaia is a perfect example. It was high last week and the running trout were going through for most of it. Some great trout were taken and lost from the Hine! Crap I wasn’t there for it.

Sorry I am away for the next three days as well and so won’t update this until Monday.

I will update my home page tomorrow morning though, thank you for all the reminder emails there!!!

Here is a picture of two anglers I enjoyed guiding last week. The trout fought hard this particular day and tested client and guide alike. Hope to see you back sometime David and Lin.

Regards Shane
