Hey All,

Just a little note to say many thanks to all the readers who have emailed and dropped by the shop to say hi and also to comment on the new video section on the web site. It is a heap of fun doing it and apparently keeps you desk jockeys  sane! I met Paul from Austrailia on the upper Waitahanui today. He knew who I was and introduced himself. Please do this as I am always happy to shake your hand and say hello. As it is Paul and I walked up the river a little way where I showed him a secret piece of water and pulled a fish from it, then got him onto a trout in the very next pool. He is staying with Ross at the Tongariro River Motel and speaks very highly of his accommodation and his knowledge of that river, I must agree if I was going to stay anywhere in Turangi it would be with Ross. Anyway enough of blowing smoke up his ……. back to me! The Waitahanui has good numbers of fish in there, yes Ralph, (spelt right this time dude) you should have come up. They seem to be throughout the river at the moment, all taking Glo Bugs. The river itself is in great condition, there is obviously still some run off from the hills as the volume is up and there is a slight amount of colour in there, it looks fantastic.

I will put a video of today’s little excursion on there later tonight after I have edited it. I had to cut my trip short today as Alana was sick at school and as Lesley is working at the moment I was Johnny on the spot.

Regards Shane
