Hey all

What a fantastic day in Taupo we have had weather wise. Blue skies and very little wind.

The Waitahanui Rip has fished very well when the wind has let up. It is strong and deep. The river is fishing well because of this, with trout being attracted to the cold strong flow.

The Hinemaiaia also fished well over the weekend but angling pressure was high at times.

There are plenty of fish scattered throughout the entire length of the Tauranga Taupo, this is an excellent river to spend a day on, take plenty of liquid for the long walk back from Rangers. Small Hair and coppers are taking fish in this river at the moment as well as the standard Glo Bugs.

The Tongariro has also had an excellent weekend, although the fish size has reduced slightly with a heap of smaller Trout in the river at the moment.

Take care on the water
