Lake Taupo Trout Fishing Report For The 23rd of September 2008

Hey All,

Plenty of fish in all the Taupo rivers today.

The Waitahanui is full of them and the rip has been fishing very well. A client staying at the lodge fished the rip until 8.15 this morning slaying them from 7.30 onwards. He bought home two very nice Jacks around the 4.5 pound mark.

I haven’t had a report in from the Hinemaiaia for a while and so may take a ride over there tomorrow and have a look see.

The Tauranga Taupo has been fishing very well even if the angling pressure has been high.

The Tongariro has some nice fish mixed in with some ‘shockers”but plenty to go round for everyone. Steven has been sneaking down there at about 10.30 in the morning as all the early fisherman are coming back and having a blast.

Regards Shane
