Hey All

Look at that day!!What a fantastic day here in Taupo, Spring certainly made its self felt today. We are due for some rain and wind late Saturday and all of Sunday. If we do get the forcasted weather I am sure the Waitahanui will fill up with fish. As I have mentioned there are a heap of fish holding off the front. Bring on the rain!!

Lower Hinemaiaia RiverI fished the Waitahanui rip for one hour late this morning with a couple who wanted to try fly fishing and wanted an eating fish to take home. We got two good hits in there but then I decided to show them what nymphing was all about and so we shot over to the Hinemaiaia. There are still a few fish going through this river and we managed to land three Trout in short time. All three went back as they had spawned but gave a good fight. They all took Glo Bugs as well!
