Hey All,

The Tongariro with extra flow today I shot down to the Tongariro late this morning with a friend as he wanted a fresh fish and this seemed the best place to try. There was extra flow in the river due to a release and it was fair pumping. The colour darkened up as well in the short time we were there. I saw one very good fish of about 5.5 pounds hooked and dropped but that was it. We were fishing just below the main road bridge. This water should fish well tomorrow as it drops.

I have a report in for all you Keen upper Waitahanui River fisherman, that the huge snag that was in the Pig Pool has been removed by a very brave local. Apparently there were quite a few flies on there!!

Regards Shane
