Lake Taupo Trout Fishing report for The 2nd Of September 2007

Hey all

I hope all you Fathers out there were allowed out for a fish today as the conditions are perfect, cold, blustery and wet!

The Waitahanui is the pick of the rivers at the moment, enjoying the constant southerly that has been blowing in. There have been numerous runs of trout through and the river has them spread throughout it’s length. As usuall there are some excellent specimens in there as well.

The Hinemaiaia is still fishing well, although low. Take your time through this river and try to get onto some deeper water, if possible.

The Tauranga Taupo is low and clear. Plenty of fish in there but spooky as hell.

The Tongariro could do with some water but there are plenty of fish in there to keep you happy.

Regards Shane
