A very busy weekend through the lodge this weekend so sorry for no report last night.
The fish that moved into most of the Taupo Rivers have gone through. The Hinemaiaia fished quite well yesterday but was hard going this morning, The Waitahanui has been tough all weekend although it seems a few fish moved into the lower section late this afternoon. The Tauranga Taupo fished well above the rock wall but got a hammering by anglers!! The Tongariro had fish in the middle and upper pools. A report in this afternoon on this river was that fish were being very choosy with the flies and drifts! Claret Pheasant Tails doing a good job on the Tongariro at the moment.
We have had a reasonable westerly blowing in this afternoon and so it will be interesting to see what it does for the Waitahanui.
Take care out there Regards Shane
