Two out of five landed in lower Waitahanui tonightI wet lined the Bridge pool this evening for a few hours since it was blowing a gale and raining, I love these conditions and it certainly paid off. I picked up five nice fish keeping the two in the photo for smoking. Both took a Black Phantom with Jungle cock eyes in size 6. I dropped one other that felt like a very good fish. It should be good in the lower section tomorrow morning.

Yummy!!!A run went through the Hinemaiaia this afternoon as well. Jim White from Auckland stopped by this afternoon to tell me he had his limit of good fish in twenty minutes of fishing the lower pools. All were taken on a straight Red Glo Bug in size 14. This colour certainly works well on the Hinemaiaia.

I am out and about on the rivers this weekend and so will give a more up to date report tomorrow night.
