Hi all,

Plenty of disgruntled fisherman on the Waitahanui today. The runs have dried up, there are a few dribbling in but it is hard going in all the sections on this river. The water is low and clear!

Nice Hen from the Hinemaiaia.Almost the same scenario on the Hinemaiaia although they are in small groups. We managed to pick up this nice Hen just above the bridge and dropped a further two hard scrappers, but they are certainly not in there in any great numbers

Water like this gets my heart beating faster! All the fish we picked up in this river took a Champagne red dot Glow Bug. From the Hinemaiaia we shot down to the Tauranga Taupo as I have found some water there that is holding good numbers of fish and everybody walks straight past it. We picked up one nice little Jack on our second drift and dropped three more in a row. My two American clients could not believe the power and cunning of our trout over here. It is always a pleasure watching clients fight these fish. The old Dutch CDC in size 16 hooked a few fish on Tauranga Taupo today, the water is dropping and is a nice colour as well, great conditions for these deadly little Nymphs .

We have had Google put some web site click adds on this page and also the Forum Page. Please have a look at some of these sites, there are some excellent deals to be looked at.
