report for the 10th of June 2007

Hey all

The Waitahanui lower reaches had fewer fish this afternoon when I went for a fish, only picking up one little Hen. I decided to drive over to the Hinemaiaia rip and have a flick there. Again things were slow but it looked and felt good. One other angler there reported a few strikes but no hook ups. The river looked busy on my way home at 3.30pm.

We have steady rain at the moment and it is COLD. It should be a good week ahead for flyfishing the Taupo area.

Regards Shane
