Report for the 24th June 2007

Hey All,

Wow what a great day on the water, fish in every system!

The one factor is, that there seem to be a lot of smaller fish at the moment. There are a few good trout in amongst them for sure, but the majority are in the 2.5 to 3.5 pound mark. Good to see most peopleƂ putting them back as well.

The Tauranga Taupo fired for me this morning and I didn’t need to walk too far from the car park. Champagne Red Dot Glo Bugs doing the job on this river.

The Hinemaiaia fired big time late this afternoon for me as well. Unfortunately I snapped my Innovation 8# while trying to land a decent fish on the straight without a net!!!

The Waitahanui is still hard!!

I am a wee bit quiet this week guiding wise and so for this week only I will do two nights accommodation and a FULL days guiding for $450, (lake front room), normal retail price is $740, max two people.

Hope everyone had a great and safe weekend.

Regards Shane
