TT Update

Hi Catch,
You wanted a TT Update? Was there last Friday morning with Rob from Riverstone. His birthday last week so we couldn't let it pass without a quick fish. Fished from plank up, approx 4 hours for 5 fish and the same lost. Rob did the same sort of damage...didn't drop as many. Clear as, some nice fresh fish and tired old slabs. The slabs had one by the end of our session. No one around early on. Come 10 am it was a like someone turned on an angler tap. They just kept coming around a corner just past the wall. We left.
Spent an hour on the upper Tongariro for 1 small fresh hen on Sat after the rugby. Waitahanui has the biggest fish at the moment.

Thanks for that update Budge, yeah seems like all the reports I am getting in at the moment on the TT are the same, it needs rain!!
Hopefully GF when you get up here there will be more volume and you can have a good walk with plenty of fish.

Hi Catch
Hope you are better now. Thanks for the use of the rod for the couple of days last week. Went up the TT three days in a row on the 4th, 5th ,and 6th and had a ball loads of fish set a limit of the rock wall for the first two days. On the 5th after seeing you when the water had come up my mate and I landed 19 and lost 15 all between the carpark and the rock wall. On the 6th it had dropped a lot and was crystal clear but we still got on to a lot of fish in pools that we watched people walk past without a go we did end up going all the way to the rangers pool.

Hi GF it was the French V Argentina game Sat morning after the big leauge game the night before. To be honest I could harldy see to the end of my rod let alone the indicator...Catch you need to make a 'hangover indicator'. Yep it was late, about 10.00 am. Still thought I would get more than I did. Only saw 1 landed and 1 lost. Sounds like they are naling them below the bridge...
