Hi 'Catch',

Sorry I've been a slack arse and haven't written in ages.  Hope you and the family are all in good health.  Steve sends regards as well.  Been spending too many weekends up at the log pool.  We have the use of a boat and have pimped it out for trout fishing.  It's been great, have caught the largest rainbows in years.  Will send some pics.  Best have been between 8 - 9.  Ngongy has been good.  Had a 10 + fish day last Wed losing as many again, in just 3 spots, in pooring rain.  Caught a tagged fish and got to speak with the hatchery guy. There were over 72 double figure browns through last Wed night.  29 rainbows between 4 and 6.  No matter what anyone says the problem is they make the indicator go blip but give in after a short fight.  Okatina and Rotoiti fish are better but still nothing like the Wai.  Their flesh and condition factor though....Stomachs full of kouroa?!? Really big ones.

Am in Taupo from Thurs night till Sat.  Let me know where you working ie river and will try and catch up.

Hey dude, really good to hear from you, was just thinking about you the other day! Next time you are down get in touch and we will catch up for a beer.

Yip those little bent Flash backs do the trick on all the rivers, nice description of them as well.

Take care man.
